Christmas Tree Advent

I seriously love Christmas! I love everything about Christmas. Snow, mistletoe, giving presents, holiday treats, Christmas lights, and advent calendars! I loved counting down the days until Christmas as a kid, so I decided to make an advent calendar for you all.

This calendar is perfect if you are crunched for time! Just print, punch two holes, and string with ribbon. My family loves rolos, so those will adorn the advent calendar this year!

I love comments, so please tell me what you think or how you are going to use the calendar!

Thanksgiving Follow Up

Here is my family's finished Thankful Tom Turkey. I just put old Mr. Tom on my magnet board and we were set!

I realized in my first post that I didn't really tell you all about myself. My name is Chantel, and I am a 26 year old working mom of one 2 year old daughter and my husband is currently in his last year of law school. We have the most adorable Yorkie, and we definitely consider him part of our little family.

Since my husband has been in law school, I have needed to help provide for our family. This experience has taught me that time is a much sought after commodity as a mother and a wife. Part of the reason I started this blog was to help other busy moms to make crafts  and do activities with their kids that don't take too much preparation time.  My goal is to help other busy moms be able to do cute activities and crafts with their kids that don't take too much preparation time. If I can help moms spend more quality time with their kids, then I feel like my blog has been a success. I hope that you enjoy these printables and tutorials! I have some more fun things in store!

Welcome to Family Home Fun!

I am really excited about starting this blog. This blog is dedicated to helping families make and document their memories. I have some really fun things to post and I also love being able to hear ideas other moms and families. If you have anything that you would like to share via this blog, please email me at familyhomefun@gmail.com.

For my very first post, I am giving you a Thanksgiving freebie! This turkey is a modified 14 day countdown to Thanksgiving. Tom Turkey comes with 14 feathers in order to write one thing that you are thankful for each day until Thanksgiving. All you have to do is print the turkey and feathers on card stock and cut them out. So easy! :) I like to make one for each member of my family and share what we wrote at dinner on Thanksgiving, but you can also just print one for the whole family to share and make the thankfulness a team effort.  Enjoy!
